Jessie Bond

Playwright & Theatre Critic

Jessie Bond, a white woman with purple hair and a purple plaid shirt, against a brick background

Jessie Bond is a children’s librarian who moonlights as a playwright, or possibly a playwright who moonlights as a children’s librarian. She hails from the Chicago suburbs but now calls the city proper home. Her plays are interested in femininity, queerness, fatness, and the intersection of those identities in a society that is often hostile to them. As a reviewer, she’ll see just about anything once but is most often drawn to new work. As a human, she enjoys singing, playing the violin, and petting her two adorable cats, Reggie and Marie.
